About Jonathan Stull
Jonathan Stull is COO at Handshake, the recruiting marketplace connecting students, universities, and employers. He helped scale the three-sided platform to roughly $100M in ARR at a $3.5B valuation with more than 500 employees, identifying as a generalist whose breadth made him a fit for an operator role that varies sharply by company and CEO partnership.
His path to the role is long and winding. After waiting tables for nine months out of college, he worked on Capitol Hill responding to letters to congressmen, then on the 9/11 Commission doing speechwriting and communications. He moved to emerging-markets banking at Citigroup in London and private equity at Actis investing in India, Africa, Southeast Asia, and China before relocating to Beijing. After business school he joined mobile security startup Lookout, working through product roles as the company grew.
