About Steve Taylor
Steve Taylor is an operator and investor who spent roughly a decade at the intersection of consumer tech and operations. He is best known for his time at Lyft, where he managed the New York City and Washington DC markets with a $500M P&L and was part of the executive team that took the company from its early pink-mustache days to a $20B IPO. He now runs HipTrain, an at-home fitness app that connects personal trainers with clients in a digital-first format.
Taylor started his career in the US Navy as a naval flight officer, with tours in Japan and Iraq and a final assignment at the White House coordinating military assets for continuity of operations. After leaving the service he spent five years in consulting, first at PRTM and then at PricewaterhouseCoopers following an acquisition, before moving into tech as an operator, advisor, and angel investor across early-stage companies.
