About Harris Clarke
Harris Clarke is COO at GuideCX, the customer onboarding platform. He runs operations at the company and brings an unusual background to the role: before tech, he served in the U.S. Department of State in the Office of the Chief of Protocol, the team responsible for how the United States engages with foreign heads of state and dignitaries.
That experience shaped how he thinks about customer experience and operational rigor. The State Department taught him to work from exhaustive checklists, to walk into high-stakes meetings with total confidence, and to pivot on the fly because everything upstream had already been set up correctly. He has carried that discipline into SaaS, applying it to internal meetings, customer interactions, and the operating cadence of his team.
On Between Two COOs, Harris talked about leading through events like the Silicon Valley Bank collapse, being a steady hand when the team is panicking, and building systems that hold up when conditions shift.
