About Joe Meyer
Joe Meyer is the founder and CEO of ExecThread, a members-only marketplace that surfaces confidential executive job opportunities normally only accessible through executive recruiters. He started the company as a passion project while at Apple, growing it from a grassroots network experiment into a platform built around the gap he kept hitting in his own career.
Before ExecThread, Joe was CEO of HopStop, the urban transit directions company he took over from the founder and ran through acquisition by Apple. Earlier in his career he held an operating role at Quigo, the contextual advertising company acquired by AOL. He describes himself as an entrepreneurial operator more than a pure entrepreneur, with a generalist multifunctional profile closer to a COO than a traditional founder.
