About Seth Levine
Seth Levine is Managing Director at Foundry Group, the Boulder-based venture capital firm. He has spent his career investing in early-stage technology companies and serving on boards, and is a long-time voice in the venture community on capital structure, founder relationships, and the evolving social contract between companies and their stakeholders.
Levine is co-author of Capital Evolution, his second book with Elizabeth MacBride, which examines how American capitalism is changing and how it needs to change. The book grew out of a board dinner conversation about whether a CEO should accept lower returns in order for the company to live its values, and expands into a broader argument about the role companies now play as social arbiters in a moment of declining trust in media and government. He and MacBride also co-authored an earlier book on the future of entrepreneurship.
